Nashville Hot Steak & Fries (Flavor Mashups Part 1)

Ingredients:

 

2-3 Lion's Mane mushroom balls

 

Wet Batter

1 cup unsweetened plant milk

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2/3 cup flour

2 tsp of smoked paprika

2 tsp garlic powder

Dry Batter

1 cup of breadcrumbs

1/2 cup of flour

1 tbsp of steak seasoning

Nashville Hot Sauce

1/3 cup of vegan butter melted

1 Tbsp + 1 tsp of cayenne pepper

2 Tbsp of agave

2 tsp of chopped garlic

2 tsp of onion powder

2 Tbsp of chili sauce

2 smoked paprika

Salt to taste

 

Other Ingredients:

Steak Fries

Vegan ranch

Pickles slices

Green onions

 

Instructions:

 

Step 1. Clean and prep Lion's Mane. Add to a pan, cook on medium, and press all the water out of the mushroom with the press or another pan. Place to the side.

Step 2. First, mix apple cider vinegar and plant milk (Plant-Based Buttermilk). Place to the side for 5 minutes. Add other ingredients for the wet batter to the plant milk and mix. Mix all ingredients for the dry batter.

Step 3. Dip the Lion's Mane mushroom into the wet and dry batter.

Step 4. Air fry at 400 degrees or fry at 375 degrees until crispy.

Step 5. Create Nashville hot sauce by adding all ingredients to a saucepan and cooking it on low for 2 -3 minutes—Glaze Lion's Mane mushroom.

Step 6. Serve with steak fries, pickle slices with ranch and green onions, and pickles.
