Salted Chocolate Walnut Pie Remixed - Where Do Walnuts Grow

It is my hope that everyone is having a positive start to the week. I thought I would start the week off by sharing with you one of my favorite holiday recipes that I make every year. This walnut pie is from my ebook "It's All About The Walnuts." I remixed it by adding melted dark chocolate and sea salt flakes to it. This recipe is taken to a whole new level by the addition of sea salt flakes, combined with melted dark chocolate. In the end, after the pie has been chilled, it is like eating a candy bar cut into slices after it has been chilled.

Where do walnuts grow? Do you know that 99% of the walnuts grown in the United States are grown in California? I was shocked to learn that this was the case. Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, dietary fiber, and magnesium are some of the health benefits that walnuts are known for. As a meat replacement, walnuts have always been a favorite of mine, but in this walnut pie, they work together perfectly. An added layer of texture and nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with sea salt and chocolate.

9-inch pie crust
3/4 cup maple Syrup
3/4 cup brown coconut sugar
1/4 cup tapioca
1/2 cup vegan butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 3/4 cups walnuts
2 tbsp of organic molasses

Do you prefer walnuts in savory or sweet dishes?

You can find this recipe in my "It's All About The Walnuts" ebook in my bio. You just need to add melted chocolate and sea salt to the remixed version.

Peace and love to all!
