Pomegranate Puff Pastry Skulls 💀 - Fall Vibes

Pomegranate Puff Pastry Skulls 💀 - Fall Vibes

Halloween Food Ideas Part 1

Okay, we are in full Halloween mode. I am running this recipe back from last year, but I made a few changes. I decreased the number of seeds and added more raspberries for a better texture. I also added date syrup and cut back on the amount of sugar. Still flames and still vegan!

Peace and blessings to all!

Pomegranate Filling Ingredients:

1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

2 cups of raspberries

1/4 cup date syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cardamom

1/4 cup pomegranate juice or water

2 Tbsp cassava flour

1/4 cup of vegan cream cheese

Vegan puff pastry roll

Pomegranate Filling Steps

Step 1. Cut and remove pomegranate seeds.

Step 2. Add pomegranate, raspberries, brown sugar, date syrup, cinnamon, cardamom, and pomegranate juice to a saucepan and cook for 12-14 minutes on medium heat.

Step 3. Add cream cheese and stir. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Allow to cool down, and slowly mix in cassava flour. Add back to medium heat and cook while stirring until the filling is thick.

Step 4. Oil pan. Fill puff pastry with filling. It is imperative to seal the dough on the skulls when it leaks. Bake for 12 - 15 min at 400 degrees ( I got my skull pans from Nordic Ware. Target has them. :)

Step 5. Have fun dressing up your skulls

Enjoy the vibes!
