Jerk Buritto Bowl

Jerk Chik'n 

  • 1 scotch bonnet deseeded & chopped
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup smoke BBQ coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp grapeseed oil 
  • 2 Tbsp Jamaican Jerk seasoning 
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning 
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • Vegan chik'n

Additional Ingredients

  • Seasoned Red beans
  • Grilled 1/2 chopped Green peppers,
  • Grilled 1/2 red peppers,
  • Grilled 1/4 onion
  • Black rice
  • Chopped mangos 
  • Lime
  • Sauce

 

Step 1. Add deseeded and chopped scotch bonnet pepper, brown sugar, lime juice, soy sauce, grape-seed oil, Jamaican Jerk seasoning, minced garlic, dried Italian seasoning, and salt & pepper in a blender. Blend until very smooth 

Step 2. Marinate the vegan chick'n in jerk sauce for at least 1 hour (The Longer the More Flavor)

Step 3. Oil and heat saute pan to med-high heat. Add red bell pepper and red onion to saute pan and cook for about 5 minutes. 

Step 4. Cook vegan jerk chick'n in a bit of oil for 5-6 minutes or until it browns. 

Step 5. Build your bowl with black rice, grilled veggies, chopped mangos, red beans, vegan chick'n, and sauce of choice.
